Smoothie Central
Brian, always the idea man around here, inspired our smoothie making contest Saturday night. (Unfortunately the boys no longer call them smoogies - that would make a better title for our event.) In randomly assigned teams we all took turns concocting and tasting our chilly creations. Lincoln and Libbi, Rachel and Maegan, Emily and Truman, and Brian himself were no match for the wisdom and boldness of Sarah and Mom. Fresh peach, a hint of vanilla, strawberry yogurt and a few other secret ingredients were whirled together into the tasty winner of the night. The big boys enjoyed adding everything they could think of to theirs, and Jefferson ate and ate - he is an ice cream fanatic and smoothies were close enough.
We followed the event with Spiderwick Chronicles, which was scary for the younger crowd who don't yet know all kid movies end well, but they enjoyed it. I thought it was good and moved pretty well. The adults then watched Bella CLEARPLAYED, another nice story different enough to be captivating.
The next morning we enjoyed Libbi's talk in our ward reporting on her mission and have received two inquiries so far about her dating status.

Deer Infestation
So, we were outside taking pictures and enjoying the fact that we could be outside without coats on (its gotta be like 55+ out there). Among other things, we decided that we have this deer problem at our house.
Yes, those are what you think they are.
The the boys were climbing trees and having a good time making faces.
Then the deer came back.
Good Fun.
Another PIcture from the Back Yard

This is in our neighbor's tree. We are impressed with it and think it is a little better than the icicle picture. We have plenty more of this Young Scrub Jay. Its left eye is actually missing...probably pecked out in the nest...Anyways. Pretty fun, we thought.
