Highlights of the Sledding Trip

You probably had to be there, but this was about 10 times more fun than it actually looks.

Snow Angels, as requested.

Dallin Rocking Out.

Kaitlyn after a hard ride still has the composure to pose for the camera.

The ensuing event of Katie crashing on her face was the best laugh of the day. Its probably not hard to tell from the look on her face that, in her mind at least, death is a possibility. As the following picture shows well:

Rylie Jean Barton.

Mike is taking Jenna down the hill on a sled and they are getting clobbered. Jenna is under all that snow with a ski hat pulled down over her face.

Braum spraying a commercial for the Cowboys.

Jenna is the image of snow bunny.

Here is a picture of Cade, the boys and Mcks cousin. He is a cutie.

If you click on these pictures you can see a much bigger version and "save as" (after right clicking to upload to your computer. You are then able to print it if you want a hard copy. FYI.

Although you cannot tell from this picture, Maegan's tail bone hurts.

We may have found something Lincoln likes more than wrestling.

We may have found something that makes Truman tired.

Another Video

It turns out that we lost momentum on this one. It was fun to start, but after a few hours on the computer just gave up and finished the thing. Carry on.

Another PIcture from the Back Yard

This is in our neighbor's tree. We are impressed with it and think it is a little better than the icicle picture. We have plenty more of this Young Scrub Jay. Its left eye is actually missing...probably pecked out in the nest...Anyways. Pretty fun, we thought.

Here is a fun picture from our back porch.

This is an old video but one we have not posted yet. Good fun.

Cousin Christmas Exchange

Since all the siblings are trading names, we thought it would be fun to have cousins trade names as well. So here are the results...

Caleb to Truman
JoAnn to Jefferson
Kate to McKinley
Will to Hinckley
Hinckley to Kate
Leah to Lincoln
Lincoln to Caleb
Truman to Will
Jefferson to JoAnn
McKinley to Leah

We are excited to have Jeff and Courtney in the mix now, cause it used to be more boring to trade names with me and Kath:)

Here are the rules...and if you have better ideas, please let me know!
1. Each gift must $5 or under. The point is to have the cousins remember each other and know they are thinking of each other at Christmas, so really it is the thought that counts.
2. Once the gift is opened you must take a picture of the recipient with it and blog their reaction/thank you so the giving cousin can see.
3. Finding these gifts cannot add stress to your Christmas season.

We will send our gifts with Sarah and you can send yours back with her so you don't have to worry about mailing them unless you want to get them here for Christmas. (If that's ok with you, Sarah:) Kath and Courtney can decide together so we get the gifts at the same time for everyone.

Gift ideas...character bandaids, coloring/craft things, t-shirt, game/cards, book, cars, toothbrush, etc. You know the little things that kids love.

Oh the weather outside is frightful!

And our childs are so delightful.

Our Christmas Video

Sorry I don't get on here and make more of these. They sure are fun but take a lifetime. Anyways, carry on and hopefully you can turn this video on a few times over the holidays. Go cougs.

Questions for Mom and Dad

Sorry my email is not sending or receiving today, who knows why, so I thought I would post my questions for you.

1. I have a package of pills for you Dad. Mom your friend sent you some pills, vitamins or something through the Church Office Building and they sent them here. I was wondering if perhaps I am not supposed to mail these kinds of things through them, and if not, do you just want them when you get here, or do you want me to send them to Texas?

2. I have some of your mail I am planning on mailing to you.

3. Do you have the recipe for Frappe like we drink for New Years? And the recipe for that yogurt pie you used to make?

4. Thank you so much for the blessing dress, it was beautiful. She looked like a baby doll if you ask me. We will post pictures soon:)

Fall at Wheeler Farm

We spent the day at the farm a few weeks ago with Will, Audrey and Laura. Lincoln managed to get bitten by a duck and a pig! He was not that scared when I said ducks don't have teeth, but later after the pig bite, he asked if they had teeth and was not happy when I confirmed that actual pig teeth had nibbled at his fingers. He probably won't be sticking his fingers into any more animal cages.

McKinley slept the whole time, she is so nice to me:) Jefferson was amazed at all the animals. He loved feeding the ducks and they loved the huge pieces he would "throw". Truman was very excited that he got to ride on a tractor and to see horses. They are his favorite. The weather has been great for this kind of thing and I had a good time chatting with Laura as our kids ran around crazy.

Autumn Activities

The boys are obsessed with jumping in big piles of leaves, so we borrowed our neighbor's yard and raked a nice pile of leaves for playing "cowabunga!". If not outlide, the boys jump off the couch onto a pile of pillows. And you wonder why Jefferson has a goose egg.

Lincoln has discovered climbing trees and spends time in his tree every day. He is the only one big enough to get into this tree, so Truman has been assigned to the other tree in the yard. Poor Jefferson watches, points and grunts his desire to be in the trees too, but my rule is you have to be big enough to get yourself in and out of the tree if you want to climb. No broken bones yet, cross your fingers!
