Spooky Halloween Fun

The boys went to two Halloween parties before the big day. Jefferson was a hit as a teddy bear. He wanted to wear his costume at all times and would crawl around and growl at us. He doesn't know how to say very many words, but one of his most clear ones is now candy ("canny"). Truman was a ninja and had his swords confiscated more than once and Lincoln was black Spiderman to the first party and to school, but when Halloween came he had found a dinosaur costume Mike and Jess gave us and decided to switch it up. He and Truman still dress as Spiderman at home some days. McKinley wore a pumpkin hat and ghost shirt. What can I say, the fourth child gets no costume at this age:) I guess it is what Lincoln wore for his first Halloween too.

The highlight of my Halloween was seeing Jefferson chase a donut on a string like a mad man. He was running in circles as fast as he could with his mouth open for five minutes! It was hilarious! I also enjoyed hearing the boys say "trunk or treat" to all the people handing out candy when we went to Gramere's ward trunk or treat. We also enjoyed visiting the pumpkin house with the Elggrens where we saw a hundred exquisitely carved jack-o-lanterns.

Hope you had a spooky and fun Halloween!

Bonked and zonked!

Jefferson Fell earlier today and got this gigantic goose egg on his head...you can see it there in the picture and it is pretty bad.

All smiles at the duryea house
She sure has learned how to smile.

Epicon crusted pear

This Pear was the dessert at the restaurant at Torrey Pines Lodge. It is rated the #1 tourist spot in the US by a magazine that Torrey Pines had in their reading lounge.

Maegan and Brian spent a Night in San Diego where He could golf at Torrey Pines with some guys from work and she could get a spa treatment.

The Spa treatment was phenomenal but the current fires in Southern California actually forced Torrey Pines (Home of the 2008 US Open) to close for the day. Brian was very very disappointed but did get to walk the grounds of Torrey Pines. It was the most impressive golf course he has ever seen.

Bloggin from the airplane

That was fun. Maegan and I are off p san dieg for a nights stay with some golfing and spa treatment. Gotta love free trips paid by your employer!

Sorry to ruin a good thing for you...

"News" about Dumbledore. It is really pathetic and comes off at being pretty contrived and awkward. Oh brother.

Thanks for the visit!

I wanted to tell you all how fun it was to have you come visit us in Utah, but I rarely have time to email without being harassed by the adorable angels in all these pictures, I thought I would post my comments here:) If you were very lucky and I had an hour I could try to add a picture to this, but as I am holding McKinley, I doubt that.

It was so fun to have the Baldwins, who we have not seen in over a year, stay with us so we could really bond. Brian met Will and even Kate for the first time, so it has been a while. Lincoln and Truman loved playing with Caleb and the girls and Truman was very impressed with Will. He kept saying he was a tough, strong baby.

I had a great time talking with you Kath, and we should do that more often, cause you are in the most similar situation to me compared to everyone I know. I would love a copy of your monthly dinner list sometime if you ever type it up:)

Abby, it was great to have the kids play with you again and to catch up. We should talk more as well. I was telling Libbi in a rare letter to her that I had seen her more recently than both you and Kath and that I had probably corresponded with her more ofter in the mean time. Lame! So this is my way of saying hello, I am thinking about you and thanks for coming to visit me. Those visits keep me sane when I am on the verge:) I can think of going for Custard or to the Zoo or sitting around talking and it is relaxing. So thanks and I love you both!

You too Dad and Sarah. The boys are wishing Grandpa was coming back and Lincoln was sorry he did not let Grandpa tickle him more. I am waiting for Thanksgiving when I will try to be ready to jog with Sarah, if not run:)

Love you all! McKinley is screaming her hello!
